FALL 2010 NEWSLETTER
Tips for Looking & Feeling Great
Hello Beautiful Friends,
Can you believe it is Autumn? Where did the summer go? I blinked my eyes and found myself in September. The Autumn is a lovely time to settle in and feel cozy.
I want to let you beautiful friends know that Salon Monet is going through some changes, all for the best. We are in a transient state at the moment, as our new home is being prepared. I want to say a special “Thank You “ to my clients who have been so patient with this change.
L I N D A ' S B E A U T Y T I P
Lets talk beauty! My favorite topic, beauty inside as well as outer. Beautiful thoughts make beautiful people. Lets keep our thoughts on things of beauty, it is all around us. We live in a treasure chest of beauty. My heart feels so happy when I am outside in nature and can see the colors and smells of our Glorious Earth. I also enjoy going to Art museums and viewing the works of wonderful Artists. When we appreciate Beauty we open our hearts to receive. Give yourself a gift of something you consider beautiful, it does not have to cost a lot of money, some of the most beautiful things come with out a price tag. I am going to share some great natural beauty treatments that can be done at home and in a relaxing space.
FALL FACIAL MASK
HONEY, BANANA & YOGURT MASK
Hydrating skin to a soft and dewy finish!
1 tablespoon Honey
1/2 Banana
2 tablespoons Yogurt
Mash the banana and add the honey and yogurt mix them all together. The mixture should be smooth.
GETTING STARTED
Start with a clean face. I also suggest a calm soothing place to relax - music is a nice touch and candle light is also nice.
After you clean your face, apply the mask, a fan brush works great or you can use your fingers. Smooth the mask over your face in even motions. Do not get close to your eyes, an eye compress can be used while the mask does its magic. I recommend applying the mask to your neck. This mask is a lovely hydrating mask and your skin will feel soft and dewy. The mask needs to stay on for at least 15 minutes.
The eye compress is simple. Prepare a bowl of ice water and soak sliced cucumbers until really cold, then put the cucumbers in gauze circles. Apply to eyes and relax.
When it is time to remove the mask, use warm water and a soft wash cloth. Follow with a cool splash at the end. A moisturizer or night cream can be used at this time.
You Are Beautiful!
F A L L 2 0 1 0 F A S H I O N U P D A T E This season we are seeing a lot of retro glamour; soft fabrics, detail trims and great color. Leopard is still in trend, I love it! Red is one color showing a lot this fall paired with teal, purple, gold and black.
We are still seeing leggings. Why? I am not sure. My fashion recommendation is as always, wear what makes you happy. Trends are fun, classic is a sure thing, good taste never goes out of style. Be true to yourself and smile, smile, smile. You are beautiful!
P.S. Over the knee boots are back, is that a good thing?
Enjoy the Autumn, eat a baked apple!
